Course Descriptions:
- MICROSOFT CLOUD – Candidates for the Azure Fundamentals certification should have foundational knowledge of cloud services and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure. This certification is intended for candidates who are just beginning to work with cloud-based solutions and services or are new to Azure.
- MICROSOFT DESKTOP ADMINISTRATION- This course is designed to prepare students to develop the skills to support and configure Windows 10 desktops in an organizational environment. Students will develop skills that include learning how to install, customize, and update Windows 10 operating systems. Students will learn how to manage storage, files, and devices as well as how to configure network connectivity for Windows 10. Students will also learn how to secure the Windows 10 OS and protect the data on the device and how to manage and troubleshoot Windows 10. This course prepares students sit for the MD100 & 101 certification exams.
- CISCO CERTIFIED NETWORK ASSOCIATE – This course is intended to provide a basic layer of knowledge and skills in networking. Students will learn networking concepts, how to describe network fundamentals and build simple LANs, establish Internet connectivity, manage network device security, expand small to medium-sized networks with WAN connectivity, and describe IPv6 basics. Additionally, students will implement scalable medium-sized networks, troubleshoot basic connectivity, and implement several types of solutions associated with network management. Completion of this course prepares participants for the Cisco® Certified Network Associate (CCNA) exam 200-301 over Routing and Switching.
- COMPUTER NETWORKING AND SECURITY – This course is designed to prepare students to develop the essential skills and information needed to install, configure, optimize, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and perform preventive maintenance on PCs, digital devices, and operating systems. Students will also learn networking concepts to help prepare for potential careers in network support or administration. Lastly, students will learn to evaluate and examine security policies, implement account management security controls, and how to utilize security measures to protect data and information. This course prepares students sit for the MTA Security Essentials certification exams.
