- BUS-1000 General Office Skills : General Office Skills provides students with the skills they need to prepare them for a general office environment necessary to run an organization efficiently. Students will learn the knowledge and skills related to Building a Career in business, computer fundamentals, online communication, thinking critically, and basic customer service.
- BUS-1145 Microsoft Office : This course focuses upon using Microsoft Word®to create, edit, and format engaging documents, work with tables and charts, customize documents, create templates, and perform mail merging.It also contains topics including using and adjusting images and videos, creating custom graphic elements, using quick parts, controlling text flow, creating macros, and automating tasks with macros.The course also introduces the main components of the PowerPoint® including navigating, text editing, adding graphical elements, objects, tables, and charts to the presentation, customizing design templates, adding SmartArt and audio to a presentation.In addition, the course focuses upon Microsoft Excel® basics foundational components used to create spreadsheets, creating basic formulas, inserting, and editing data, using formatting tools, managing worksheets and workbooks, and customizing the excel environment.
- BUS-1575 Business Soft Skills: This course provides the learner with knowledge and skills of soft they need to interact within a business environment.Students will learn time management skills, communication essentials both verbal and nonverbal, and business etiquette and professionalism.
- ACCT-2000 Accounting Fundamentals: This course will introduce students to Corporate Financial Accounting and teach students how to perform accounting activities for a business.Accounting plays an integral part of every business and students will learn the bookkeeping aspects of accounting along with how to create financial reports such as the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Trial Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows.By the end of the course, students will know how to interpret the financial statements and make sound business decisions based on the information from the reports.
- BUS-1585 Project Management: This course focuses on the practical basics of project management – project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholders – using the experiences of real‐life businesses.Focus is placed on the PMBOK accepted standards for professional project management.Learners’ skills and knowledge to plan, execute, and control the use of resources to complete their project will be assessed.
- BUS-3000 Human Resources: This course provides students with opportunities to explore various human resources theories utilized in the workplace today. Students will study spotlights from real organizations and see the impact changing work climates have had on human resources management.Students will learn how to enhance employee- management relationships and how to expand human resource supports in the workplace.
- BUS-3100 Social Media Marketing: This course explores various ways a business can harness social media platforms to effectively market a business. Students will explore the role of social media and best practices for utilizing various social media platforms.Students will learn how to identify target audiences and which social media platforms are best for which audiences. Students will differentiate between paid and earned social media and influencers, and the role content creation and sharing play in social media marketing. Students will also learn how to create a social media marketing plan.
- CSC-1000 Career Services: This course offers students workforce need tools and basic skills to help secure a job in their chosen field of study.This course provides a clearer idea of how to create a personal brand, resume and cover letter documents for a job search, an electronic profile, targeting the job search, and insight into interview skills needed to become a more marketable job candidate.Lastly, students learn the importance of maintaining a positive online reputation. This course will add to the knowledge and skill gained in the student’s program and help students apply them toward seeking employment.
Upon completion of the program, students should be able to meet the following objectives.

Describe the communication process and how it affects customer retention and satisfaction.
