Program Quick Facts

IS THE MYCAA PROGRAM COMPLICATED TO USE?

Not at all. The MyCAA was designed by the DoD to help military spouses quickly gain the skills they need to start a rewarding career in the most convenient way possible. These skills are easily transferable to where ever the military moves your family.

WILL THIS TAKE AWAY FROM MY SPOUSE'S TA AND POST 9/11 BENEFITS?

No. This is a separate fund created by the DoD for military spouses only (male or female). Your active-duty sponsor’s benefits will never be affected when a military spouse takes advantage of the MyCAA opportunity.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

The MyCAA scholarship is for all qualified military spouses within these following ranks:

E5 and below, W1 – W2 or O1 – O2.

WHAT IF I DON'T FINISH A PROGRAM OR, WORSE, FAIL IT?

If you are unable to finish a course or program, or fail, not to worry! You don’t have to pay back the government the funds you’ve used. If you withdraw from a course or fail, your access to the remaining funds in your MyCAA account will be put on hold until you talk to a SECO Career Coach.

DOES IT TAKE A LOT OF TIME AND PAPERWORK TO APPLY?

The process is straightforward but has a few steps along the way. Our knowledgeable staff can outline the steps for you to help remove any confusion along the way. We will help you make sure you won’t miss out on your scholarship funds.
